Prepared for Nina at OpenDor Media
Run of show, vendors, floor plans, on-screen media, every level of kashrut: I’ve managed it all, and I genuinely enjoy it. Running a brand and a marketing team taught me that small things make big things happen. But lots of people can learn logistics, just like I did. What I bring is heart: a thing guests can’t always name but never forget. It’s what turns one good night into excitement for the next, and a first-time guest into a supporter and advocate.
You may notice that Director of Events isn’t one of the many job titles I’ve had, and I proudly count that as a strength. I’ve done the job from more angles than I can count: as a founder throwing pop-ups, a marketing director producing awards shows, a college student running weekly Shabbat dinners and community events, a connector hosting salons for like-minded Jewish voices, a consultant and host committee member for the Jewish Media Awards at Lincoln Center, and a person who simply loves creating experiences people can’t find anywhere else.
I use Claude for a lot. For example, I recently built Viridian, just for fun: a fully functional, AI-driven platform that helps people visualize their lives, discover patterns across the years, and a whole lot more.
Here’s a short snippet of a work in progress (with sample life events, of course).
